A new job may initially have a probationary period. Both the employee and the employer can terminate the employment relationship during the probationary period. Termination during the probationary period must not be discriminatory or otherwise improper.
The maximum length of a probationary period is 6 months. In a fixed-term employment contract, the probationary period may not exceed half of the duration of the contract, but no more than 6 months.
