Accessibility statement

This is the accessibility statement for the Fair Play at Work website, as originally drafted on 12 March 2026 and updated on 31 March 2026.

We seek to ensure that our website is accessible in accordance with the Finnish Act on the Provision of Digital Services. The accessibility of the service has been assessed by an external service provider, Evermade Oy.

Status of site accessibility

The service satisfies accessibility requirements in part. Some known aspects of the service fail to comply with WCAG 2.1 criteria at level AA, meaning that users may encounter accessibility issues on the website. The known shortcomings are described in greater detail under “Known accessibility issues“.

We are working to correct shortcomings where possible, and will update this statement as improvements progress.

Our currently known shortcomings are described below. Please advise us if you notice any other problems on the website.

Language of site content

Visitors may find content in English when using the site in other languages. The cookie tool link has not yet been translated into other languages.

Difficulties concerning use of colour

Text on the site may sometimes be hard to see over a strong background colour. Examples of possible problems:

  • Introductory text on pages
  • Links, when hovering over them

Obstacles to keyboard use

The site has some shortcomings in “focus visible” (e.g. ease in locating a cursor, active buttons or other interaction points). There are some known problems in the main site menu and “breadcrumb trail” (i.e. route to home or previously visited pages).

Deficient text alternatives

Some translations of text alternatives are missing. Text alternatives to image content on the Finnish website may be in English.

Logo links to the website home page have no text alternatives.

Inconsistent navigation

There are shortcomings in the website heading hierarchy. Pages may skip over heading levels.

The table of contents appears as a list in each section, but it would be more appropriate to employ navigation elements for smoother use of assistive technologies.

Content not covered by legislation

Our website uses third party content that is not subject to Finnish accessibility requirements, including elements of the cookie tool and embedded forms that we cannot access.

Official supervision of accessibility
