When you start a new job, your employer must guide you in your new tasks. This is called induction training, which is required by law. Induction helps you get to know your workplace, tasks and colleagues.
You need to learn about the following:
- your work and workplace
- the rules at the workplace, that is, instructions common to all
- the use of machinery and equipment
- the use of protective equipment (such as helmets)
- how to work safely
- dangers and risks related to the work.
